Stephen B. Snider, Interim Rector
     Steve retired last year after serving as rector of Holy Apostles, Penn Wynne, in the Conestoga deanery. Prior to going to Holy Apostles in 1990, Steve had spent sixteen years in the diocese of Iowa. He is a graduate (B.A.) of the University of the South in Sewanee, TN and Seabury-Western Theological Seminary (M. Div) in Evanston, IL. He was ordained deacon and priest in 1974 in the Diocese of Iowa. Steve and his wife Irene, a physical therapist, have two sons, Matt and Steve, living and working in San Diego and San Francisco respectively. Steve was most recently part-time assistant rector at Redeemer, Bryn Mawr. During his active ministry in the Episcopal church, Steve has served on the staff of two in-patient chemical dependency treatment centers and with local and state law enforcement agencies in Iowa.

James Grenhart, Organist/Choir Director
     Jim came to Holy Comforter in September 2002. He grew up in Mount Ephraim, New Jersey, and attended St. Mary’s, Haddon Heights, where he was a boy chorister and parish organist during his senior year of high school. Graduating from Trinity College, Hartford, where he earned a liberal arts degree with majors in English literature and music history, he studied organ with Clarence Watters. He took further organ study with Wesley Day at St. Mark’s, Locust Street.

For more than 40 years he has served in Episcopal parishes in the Dioceses of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.


Ethel Wesley, Youth Director and Acting Sunday School Director
     A private school teacher, Ethel came to Holy Comforter in 2002. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Neumann College and has taken many graduate-level classes in creative writing and children’s literature. She is a graduate of the Education for Ministry program at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. She has been a church school teacher for almost 35 years. She helped create the Diocese of Pennsylvania’s Christian Education Resource Center. She was Director of Christian Education for 10 years at St. Mark’s, Locust Street, and Youth Director at Christ Church, Ridley Park, for seven years. Ethel has also served on the Camp E.L.M.O. staff and in the Happening Youth Program.
Gail Morgan, Administrative Assistant
     Gail came to Holy Comforter in May 2005. She has a BA in Education from Eastern University, St. Davids, PA., and a Master's in the Science of Management from The American College, Bryn Mawr, PA. A former junior high school teacher, Gail comes to Holy Comforter with a background as a development officer in higher education.

Gail staffs the church office Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.


Robert Gilmore, Sexton
Robert joined Holy Comforter in July, 2007. He is trained in electrical contracting and carpentry and is available on a part-time basis.
